How to Duplicate Events

Duplicating an event allows you to quickly create a copy of an event on a different sub-calendar. You can duplicate events using Teamup on a browser and on the Teamup app. See also how to copy events.

How to duplicate an event

When you duplicate an event, event details (time, date, description, attachments, custom field selections) will be included on the duplicated event. Event comments are not included when an event is duplicated.

On a browser: Context menu

A browser screen shows Month view of a Teamup calendar, "Coaching Organization" with several events, all black. A pop-up context menu is open beside one event with a mouse arrow hovering over the blue highlighted Duplicate option in the menu.

  1. Right-click an event and select Duplicate. The event editor will open with the original event info pre-populated, but without a sub-calendar selected.
  2. Select one or more sub-calendars and edit any details as needed.
  3. Save the new event.

It’s possible to duplicate a read-only event to a different sub-calendar, as long as you have add or modify permission to that sub-calendar.

On a browser: Drag and drop

Use CTRL + drag (PC) or OPTION (⌥) + drag (Mac) to quickly duplicate events in Scheduler or Timeline view.

In Scheduler view, drag across columns to duplicate to a different sub-calendar.

In Timeline view, drag across rows to duplicate to a different sub-calendar.

  • When you drag an event across columns or rows to duplicate it to a different sub-calendar, you can also drag it to a different time/date.

On the Teamup app

Three mobile screens show the Teamup app: 1) Construction Business Calendar in List view shows a single purple event titled "Maintenance job" on February 24 at 13:00. 2) The event editor is open showing details of the "Maintenance job" event with a red arrow pointing to the three dot menu in the top right corner and a red box around the Duplicate option in an open dialog. 3) The same List view of the calendar now shows a green event titled "Maintenance job" next to the original purple event

  1. Tap an event to open it.
  2. Tap the three dot menu (top right).
  3. A menu will open with options. Tap Duplicate.
  4. A new copy of the event without an assigned sub-calendar will open. Tap the Calendar field and select the sub-calendar(s) you want.
  5. Tap the check mark (top right) to save the duplicated event.
