How to Use the Teamup Plugin for WordPress

The Teamup plugin for WordPress makes it easy to embed a Teamup Calendar into a WordPress site. This article discusses how to install and use the Teamup plugin on your WordPress site. To learn about using the Teamup embed wizard, see this article.

Install the plugin

Step 1: Download the plugin zip file.

Step 2: Upload the Teamup plugin.

Go to the Plugins page from your WordPress Admin dashboard.

Click Add NewUpload Plugin > Choose File. Select the zip file you downloaded in step 1. Click Install Now.

Step 3: Activate your Teamup plugin.

On the next screen, click the Activate button.

Or go to the Plugins page and locate the Teamup Calendar plugin from the list of the installed Plugins. Click Activate.

Now the plugin is ready for you to use.

How to use the Teamup plugin

In Worpdress, add a new page or post, or open a page or post you’ve already created.

You will need to use the Classic editor plugin (see below) or the Classic editor block in order to user the Teamup plugin.

Use the Classic editor block

If you are working with Gutenberg (the block editor), you’ll use the Classic block.

Click the + button on the left side of the post or page, then choose the Classic block from the menu of blocks.

The Classic block will open, showing the Classic editor menu. The Teamup icon will appear in the Classic editor menu:

Click the Teamup icon and a pop-up configuration window will open. Paste in your calendar link (be sure it has appropriate read-only access permission) and then set the other options as desired:

Click Insert, then Save your page or post. Preview to ensure the embedded calendar is just right, then Publish the page or post when you’re ready.

Use the Classic editor plugin

If you are using the Classic editor plugin, ensure that you are in Classic editor mode and proceed.

Once the Teamup plugin is activated, you will see a Teamup icon in the Classic editor menu:

Click the Teamup icon. A configuration window will open. You can choose how you want your calendar to appear on your site:

Explore the configuration tabs and select what suits your need.  Essentially, the configuration options make it easy to apply calendar link parameters so you do not need to tweak the code yourself.
